Pioneer Weightlifting Belt Sizing

Weightlifting/Power Lifting Belts are worn well above where you wear your shorts or pants, this means they are worn above the hip bones.

Your pant size is NOT your weight belt size.

To measure for the correct size, use a pliable measuring tape or seamstress tape. Measure around your waist, about 4 inches above where your pants are. *Do not “suck in”, measure in a relaxed state, then pull the measuring tape tight.

Use this measurement to choose your correct LEATHER WEIGHT belt size.

X-Small - 22"- 31"
Small - 27"- 36"
Medium - 31"- 40"
Large - 35"- 44"
X-Large - 39"- 48"
XX-Large - 43"- 52"

Use this measurement to choose your correct NYLON/HYBRID belt size.

X-Small - 19"- 25"
Small - 24"- 30"
Medium - 29"- 35"
Large - 34"- 40"
X-Large - 39"- 45"
XX-Large - 44"- 50"

I wanted to give my initial impressions of this belt as I've only had it for a couple workout sessions. I wanted the same belt that is in the photo (grey suede, chrome buckle, black edging, white stitching). The belt is gorgeous. When I took it out of the box and inspected it, there were no quality issues to speak of. The fit and finish is what I would expect from Pioneer, fantastic. The suede leather was soft and even in texture and color. The belt was a little stiff, but after about 5 minutes working with it, it was practically broken in. Wearing it, the fit was perfect (chalk it up to my amazing measuring skills). I like the rounded tail for this belt. It goes into the loop easily and doesn't stick out. I bought this belt for deadlifting, and sometimes a long tail gets hung up on my arm. I went with this belt because I wanted a double suede belt, but not 4” wide. I already own the venerable 13mm Pioneer Cut belt (non-suede) and it’s an absolute BEAST. I cannot recommend a better belt for squatting. However, for DL, I needed something supportive but not as constrictive. This 10mm 2.5” belt is just the ticket.
