Weightlifting/Power Lifting Belts are worn well above where you wear your shorts or pants, this means they are worn above the hip bones.
Your pant size is NOT your weight belt size.
To measure for the correct size, use a pliable measuring tape or seamstress tape. Measure around your waist, about 4 inches above where your pants are. *Do not “suck in”, measure in a relaxed state, then pull the measuring tape tight. Use this measurement to choose your correct belt size.

The Pioneer 8" Strongman Hybrid Belt is a spin off of our popular hybrid belt and soft belts typically worn by strongman competitors. It features 8" of coverage around the body and is made using leather instead of neoprene or foam. This makes the belt much more rigid to start and provides more support than traditional soft belts. Two 3" poly straps top and bottom with true Velcro brand hook and loop allows for a perfect fitting belt. Seamless 3" nickel plated rollers makes it easy to tighten and loosen. We implemented 3 1/4" elastic strips throughout the belt to hold up a power belt if you are using both and a micro-fleece inside to provide warmth and prevent slippage.
