What is Baseball Swag?
Baseball sits on the mountain top when it comes to “swag” in the sports world. No other sport has such a wide array of accessories that are both functional for performance and for aura. Today’s player has more access to gear and accessories than ever before, allowing them to express themselves through their equipment on nearly every part of their body. Players in the field are adorned with colorful mirrored sunglasses, arm sleeves, wrist bands, necklaces, eye black, custom gloves and cleats, even specialty socks. Hitters have access to a wide array of batting gloves, protective guards, helmet c-flaps, and loudly designed bats. Baserunners even got in the mix with sliding mitts. But even in this amassing of swag, one necessary accessory was overlooked for so long: baseball belts.
